Interview with Richard Wright

Richard Wright he is one of my favorite artist, with great talent he made some of the most realistic characters.
He have the talent to give personalty for each characters & life to each scene.

At the next lines is a small interview with Richard Wright.

Questions

When did you first realize that you were an artist?

I was about 5 years old when I started to enjoy drawing and painting.
I was about 30 when I discovered I could earn a living from it.

What famous artists have influenced you, and how?

Every Artist has influenced me in some way, but Roger Deakins (cinematographer), Turner, Craig Mullens,
Richard Schmidt are current favorites.
If I've learn anything from them it has been at an unconscious level.

How long did it take to develop your own style?

It still is developing and changes with every new piece of work.
I often go back and look at a previous work to try and understand how I did it.

What's the best and worst parts of being a full time, working artist?

I guess the worst part is frustration - having to produce something when I'm not inspired.
The best is when I don't try too hard but produce something which I really like.

Do you pay attention to art critics?

No. I'm not sure my work has ever been critised.

What other interests do you have?

Friends. Music. Films. Driving. Eating & Drinking. Sleeping.

What advice would you give to an artist just starting out?

Just keep at it. You can do anything if you really want to.
